2.Classification of wet wipes

2.1 Classification Based on different based material

2.1.1 Full polyester fiber material

Polyester is a kind of chemical fiber sourced from Petroleum chemistry industry.Compared to other material,polyester fiber material is harder and smoother and pilling is possible.After wiping,more water would stay on the skin since the polyester fiber has poor hydrophilic property.Additionally,its poor hydrophilic property,the top layer of the wipes in one pack would become too dry since the water would run to the bottom layer affected by gravity,especially when they are kept for a long time.After use,the full polyester fiber is difficult to degrade in environment,simultaneously,the Petroleum is classified as non-renewable resource.From eco-friendly and user experience perspective,the use of full polyester fiber material should be reduced.However,this kind of wet wipe are still very popular because of its low production cost.

To tell the polyester fiber wet wipe:you can burn it after it is dry,if a lot of smoke appears and there is big block left,then it is polyester fiber wet wipe.

2.1.2 polyester fiber+viscose fiber

The content of polyester fiber can be between 10% and 90% based on the brands owner’s production cost requirement.Generally,lower content of polyester means the wipes are relatively softer and higher production cost.In common sense,the middle and high end brands choose the ratio of 5:5 for polyester fiber and viscose fiber.In this ratio,the softness is ideal and the pilling problem does not exist.The viscose fiber provides better hydrophilic property than polyester fiber,so it would not be too wet like polyester fiber wipe when the liquid is added.From the production and softness perspective,most of the middle and high end brands would like to choose this kind of material as the base material for their wet wipes.

You can tell the material by burning,the smoke is not as much as full polyester fiber material and there still be some block left after burning.

2.1.3 Full Viscose Fiber Based Material

All viscose fiber based wet wipes can degrade naturally and all of them are eco-friendly products.

2.1.4 Thickness of raw material

Additionally,the thickness of raw material is another key factor and it is measured in gsm (grammes per square metre).The gsm chosen by supplier is between 30 and 50g.For the wet wipe with same size,smaller gsm means lower production cost.However,if the wipe is rather thin,you need to double them before use,so actually,its cost is higher than the thicker one since you do not need to double it.Based on our experience,the wet wipes made by Japan have the small size and thin paper.As to the pattern of wet wipe material,there is flat version,dot version etc.Actually,the pattern of the material would not affect the use of wipe.

2.2 Classification Based on packing material

To keep the water and raw material of wet wipe in a stable condition for a long time,the wet wipe has to be in completely sealed environment.Based on different packing material,the classifications are shown as follows:

2.2.1 Bag package

Generally,the bag package for wet wipes is consisted of composite file of OPP and PE.OPP is the outer layer which is for printing.The inner layer is PE which provides seal purpose.

2.2.2 Individual piece package

Each pack contains only one piece of wet wipe,as a result,the package for each piece of wipe is large,so the price of individual piece is relatively high.Beside,the package can not degrade naturally and not eco-friendly.There are fewer and fewer business men choose this kind of package.

2.2.3 Multi-piece package

The multi piece package always include 10 to 100 wipes.For family use,80 pieces are very the most common.For the package including 80 pieces,if there are obvious folding edges on both sides,it is expected that this product is produced by small factories which does not have high automation production lines since the bags need the heating sealing on the bottom.In this case,more manual labor is induced into this type of product.Both quality and safety would be affected by inducing more manual labor force.

In daily use,the stick paper for sealing is not easy to open and the sealability is poor.In this case,most manufacturer would choose to equip the bag with plastic cover.This cover would increase the cost since the consumer need to pay extra 0.15 dollar for it and it is not eco-friendly products.

2.2.4 Bucket package wet wipes

The production cost of bucket package is high,and it is not easy and convenient when pulling the paper from the bucket,so the bucket wet wipes are not very common.

2.3 Classification based on specification or purpose

2.3.1 General purpose wet wipe

The general purpose wet wipes are designed for cleaning hands, mucous membranes and object surface.The standard for this kind of wet wipe is shown as follows:
Microbial culture bacteria units≤200CFU/g,Fungal colony units≤100CFU/g,NO Coliform, NO Pyogenic bacteria;
